Art. Murals. ux design.
Hey, I’m David. I’m happy you’re here.
I’m David E. Thomas, a human-centered UX designer with a background in education and visual art. I design experiences that are clear, practical, and grounded in how people actually think and learn.
Before moving into UX, I spent years teaching art and designing curriculum for diverse classrooms. That experience trained me to break down complex ideas, observe how people really use systems, and iterate fast based on feedback and real-world constraints—all skills I now use in my design work.
My approach blends research, visual design, and structured problem-solving. I’m especially interested in usability, onboarding, instructional design, and products that support learning or high-stakes decision-making. I bring a strong visual foundation to my work, which helps me think clearly about hierarchy, layout, and flow.
Right now, I’m building UX case studies while continuing to work on murals and public-facing projects. No matter the medium, my goal is the same: reduce friction, respect users, and make complex systems easier to understand.
