About the La Alianza Mural
The La Alianza mural was about more than just making something that looked good on a wall. It was about visibility, belonging, and honoring the people who use this space every day.
From the beginning, I wanted the mural to feel welcoming and rooted in culture, not decorative or symbolic in a vague way. The imagery pulls from shared visual language—color, pattern, and form—to reflect community, identity, and connection. Every decision was intentional, from the palette to the scale, because this mural wasn’t meant to be glanced at and forgotten. It was meant to live with people.
La Alianza represents collaboration, pride, and presence. I’m grateful to have been trusted with a project that carries that kind of weight, and I hope the mural continues to feel like it belongs exactly where it is.
